Ballymount Farm is in the Southern Tablelands NSW just south of Crookwell. We are 2.5 hrs from Sydney and 1.25 hrs from Canberra.

Our focus is on breeding and producing for sale, athletic, calm and responsive horses suitable for Olympic disciplines.

Ballymount Farm is 450 acres of undulating country with excellent shade and water. It is ideally suited to our business.

We bought the farm in 2004 and over the last few years have re-fenced the property, constructed a stable block, large and small round yards, jumping lane, 8 horse walker, holding yards, crush, indoor dressage arena, show jump arena and some cross country jumps. We have the facilities to take foals through to young horses ready to start competition careers.

Our approach is very much a mixture of nature, nurture and matching stallions with our mares and our horses with prospective owners.

Our young horses grow and develop in good undulating country with a cool / temperate climate. They are socialised and regularly handled through this process so that we produce horses that are strong, athletic and with good temperament. We put care into matching stallions for our mares and we also want to match our horses with buyer requirements. If we get these matches right, the business will take care of itself over time.

Ballymount in Gaelic is "Baile an Airde".....a "town on high". We picked the name given our Irish links and the fact that Crookwell is 950m high in the Southern Tablelands. We hope it will bring us the usual Irish luck with our endeavours!
