Ayr  Royal Hit Royal Dance
Constantia Caribou  Carbine

Ayr is a lovely young mare, approximately 16hh, and as her name suggests, light as air when she moves. She has a very pretty head set on an elegant neck with a great shoulder. She has natural uphill movement, and real presence indicative of her sire, Royal Hit who needs no introduction, but now sadly deceased. Ayr's dam line consists of Carbine, a very successful dressage and show horse, who also produced horses with talent over jumps and has sired a number of good event horses. Constantia Caribou is out of Zwahili who is by Zwion, one of the first Trakhener stallions in Australia, imported by Walter Sauer in 1980. Ayr was broken in through the winter of 2016, (1st August - 16th September) and was extremely fancy under saddle. She then spelled for 3 months and was brought back in for a refresher course of 4 weeks work in December 2016, she loved to be worked outside and ridden down the laneways as she was easily bored in the arena. Ayr was spelled for 10 months due to being a light framed filly and just needing to fill out more. She was restarted in November 2017 by Ben Johnson (BBJ Equestrian Training), and proved to be a quick learner. Ayr is not a beginners horse as she has a lot of attitude that goes along with her huge ability and potential, so we decided to put her in foal to Royal Oak 11, and she produced a super colt foal on the 6th February 2019. She will be brought back into work in the spring of 2019.
