Sunny AEA Metallic Metall
Marina Ster
Val-Tahar Valtimo No 749

Sunny is a lovely type of mare with a pretty head, elegant neck and good conformation.  She has a sweet and friendly personality with lovely ground manners.  She is from the first crop of Metallic foals and shows the movement we come to expect from Metallic progeny. Metallic is now competing Grand Prix level dressage with Dirk Djikstra. Metallic's sire, Metall, competed successfully up to Prix St Georges level dressage and has produced several Grand Prix dressage horses and licensed sons. His most famous son is the stallion, Uthopia, who won team gold in dressage for GB, ridden by Carl Hester, at the 2012 London Olympics. Metall is out of a mare by the great jumping sire Ramiro Z, who is well known for producing both jumping and dressage horses that compete and win at international level. Metall's sire, Olympic Ferro, competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and assisted the Dutch team in winning the silver medal in dressage. Sunny's dam, Val-Tahar, is by Valtimo who is by Valuta. Valuta (Danish Warmblood imported 1982) was one of the first horses to compete Grand Prix dressage in Australia, ridden by Gert Donvig.  Sunny is progressing well under saddle, she has had one outing, the Bungendore ODE, 1st June 2014, where she proved to be really easy to take out and ride. She has had an interrupted workload since then due to owner's lack of time, but is back in consistent work as of May 2015. Sunny shows ability and enthusiasm over jumps (has jumped up to 80cm), and will make a great little eventer. She is 15.3hh. Sunny is a windsucker, but maintains really good condition.
